Lieutenant Claude Cyril John McCann, DSO MC was a Cabinetmaker from Glanville, SA prior to enlistment on 10 February 191 and embarked from Adelaide, SA with the 27th Battalion aboard HMAT A2 Geelong on 31 May 1915. Like this Brother (Maj) William Francis John McCann, DSO MC, he was awarded the Military Cross 25 July 1918. He Returned to Australia 21 December 1918.
Lance Corporal Jack Stewart Sydney McCann, (center) was a Clerk from Glanville, SA prior to enlistment on 7 February 1916 and embarked from Adelaide, SA with the 43rd Battalion, B Company aboard HMAT A19 Afric on 9 June 1916. He was Killed in Action 4 July 1918 on the Western Front France.
Lieutenant-Colonel Charles Philip Butler, DSO was an Auctioneer from Prospect, SA prior to enlistment on 4 January 1916 and embarked from Adelaide, SA with the 43rd Battalionon board HMAT A19 Afric on 9 June 1916. He was Returned to Australia 15 February 1918.
Lieutenant Douglas Bertram Crisp, DSO was a Grosr from Rosewater, SA prior to enlistment on 4 September 1915 and embarked from Adelaide, SA with the 16th Battalion, 8th Reinforcement on board RMS Morea on 26 August 1915. He was Returned to Australia 30 August 1918.
William John Alsop Begg was a Bank accountant from Semaphore prior to enlistment on 5/6/16 embarkment. William's Unit, Field Artillery Brigade, Reinforcement 33, embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board SS Indarra on 26 November 1917. William is listed as Effective abroad (still overseas).
Private Charles Andreson 2106, a Clerk from Birkenhead, South Australia, prior to enlistment 31 May 1915, he embarked with the 27th Battalion 4th Reinforcements from Adelaide aboard HMAT A15 Star Of England on 21 September 1915.
Private Peter Herbert Gascoigne 1682. A labourer from Port Adelaide, South Australia, prior to enlistment, he embarked with the 50th Battalion 2nd Reinforcements from Adelaide on 11 April 1916 aboard HMAT Aeneas. After a period of training in England he joined his unit on the Western Front near Abbeville, France. Pte Gascoigne was initially reported missing in action near Noreuil, France, on 2 April 1917, was subsequently confirmed as being killed in action on that date and is buried in the Noreuil Australian Cemetery. He was aged 24 years.
